Meet the Surveyor
Hi, My name is Larry VanOsdol, a retired Land Surveyor, licensed in the states of Indiana and Illinois.
I was in private practice in Northern Indiana, specializing primarily in the design and layout of single family residential subdivisions.
I was the first surveyor in St. Joseph County, Indiana to submit a computer generated subdivision plat and the first to have a robotic total station. I say that only to let you know that I am and always have been interested in the technology of Land Surveying.
I operated a one-man survey company, having no employees, from 1988 to 2004, excepting my son who carried stakes and irons during part of the summer.
Welcome to the website. Please look around and come back often. I intend to keep adding material to the site. If there is anything that you think should be added, please lt me know.

Dear Larry VanOsdol,
I too am a land survey surveyor in Hawaii. I am trying to study for the land survey test here. I just wanted to know if any suggestions you could give me to study for the test.
Thanks,
Milton Hoshijo
