2007 Surveyors CEU Cruise – Day 3

Cruise Day 3 (Monday February 26, 2007)

Today we arrive in Cozemel, Mexico, so the CEU schedule is limited to one class from 8:00 to 10:00 AM, before we disembark the ship at the port.

One of my complaints with Carnival is that they only have coffee and danish available at 6:30, with the buffet breakfast beginning at 7:30. Not much time for breakfast with an 8 AM beginning time for classes. And with the dining room opening at 8:00, it was impossible to have breakfast there.

The Monday AM class was on “Ethics for the Land Surveyor and Engineer” This was a discussion of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct by National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors, followed by case studies or “situation ethics” and conflicts of interest. Led by John Keen, PLS, the seminar was very interesting, showing varying opinions of the participants.

After class, participants were on their own, meeting again for dinner at 8:00 PM
