The 2007 Surveyors CEU Cruise is History

Cruise Day 1 (Saturday February 24, 2007)

The CEU Cruise sponsored by Land Surveyors Workshop is history. The Cruise began on February 24 when we boarded the Carnival Glory at Port Canaveral, Florida. First up on the educational agenda was a one hour cocktail party and get together where we met with Larry Phipps, Kay Larson, John Keen, Jack Keen, and Reynold Davenport, all associated with Land Surveyors Workshops along with approximately 48 couples, each having at least one member signed up for classes.

Before I get into the discussion of the day-to-day experiences of the cruise and seminar, just let me begin by stating that this is the first seminar that I have ever attended where I felt that the material presented actually was worthy of attending. Carnival is not my favorite cruise line, but even the shortcomings of menu choice, and room service do not detract from the overall value of the experience.

If you didn’t go on this cruise, you missed a great learning experience. But it is not too late to make plans for next years event. The 2008 Surveyors Cruise has already been scheduled and you may register at the LSW website.

After notebooks with individualized schedules and handouts were distributed, each of the LSW staff was introduced while drinks were catered by the Carnival wait staff. The hour went quickly and we all got ready for our first dinner together and prepare for a ?day at sea? the next day.

Classes would begin at 8:00 on Sunday. More later
