ACSM Conference in Orlando

The 2006 American Congress of Surveying & Mapping (ACSM) Conference is being held this year in Orlando, Florida, bringing it close to home for those of us in Florida. More importantly it offers an opportunity to escape the cold for our northern neighbors. The conference will be held on April 21 thru April 26 at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando.

The 24 page program includes descriptions of the technical programs and exhibits, and also the “sports competition which will include : “guess the distance”, “guess the bearing”, “angle turning skill”, “pacing” and the lost art of “chain throwing”

Manufacturers and dealers will be in abundance providing a great variety of “survey toys” to tempt you and your employees. Each will have their claims of increased productivity to separate you from your money while at the same time making it easier to justify the purchase to your accountant (wife).
