One Man Cart
When working with a full field crew, there isn’t always enough people to carry all of the tools and supplies necessary for stakeout, whether it is setting grade stakes for construction, or placing monumentation at the platted lot corners.
Working alone, however, presents a problem. Two hands are not enough to carry the rover (Robotic or GPS) along with stakes, lath, hammer, flagging, shovel, machete and the various other items required.
In the past I have used everything from a backpack to a garden cart. recently, I discovered a lawn cart at Bed, bath and Beyond which works perfectly in one man operation. Properly used, it can also be used to keep the rover rod vertical, minimizing loss of lock. Pictured here is my cart, partially outfitted for field use.
